Things I’m lusting after…
Having lived frugally for the past nine months - (maternity leave = no pay) I’m really, really looking forward to my first paycheck. Things I have wanted/needed for a while but couldn’t afford:
A funky e-reader. Thinking Kindle - any suggestions?
A trip to the dentist.
New jeans, that understand I’ve had two kids, but still want to look like I haven’t.
New boots. They must be brown leather with buckles and be a bit fierce.
A facial. Oh, god, how much would I love a facial. A wet wipe every three days is not a skin care routine.
New foundation. The kind that posh ladies spend hours picking out for you, that comes in tiny bottles, with petals cast about you in a golden glow in Brown Thomas. Not the orange tubes from Boots.
A loose, blue and white man’s striped shirt from a proper shirtmaker, with a stiff collar and cuffs, to tuck into my new jeans, while wearing my new brown boots.
The newer Blackberry, it’s camera is way better than my old one, and the ball on mine only goes right.
Contact lenses. Man, mine are expensive.
